Bogotá (Colombia), 12/11/2018, Sr. Nubia Yaneth Chávez.- In the context of the liturgical time of Advent, the Provincial Chapter opened on December 9, with the celebration of the Eucharist, presided by the Most Reverend Daniel Caro. The Bishop emphasized refining the senses to recognize the Savior and to become a sign of hope for society.

At the end of the celebration, Hermana Fanny Yolanda Barrantes, Provincial Superior, handed on to each Chapter Member, a lighted candle as a sign of the presence of the Spirit. This candle will remain ignited at each local community to remember the commitment of fervent prayer during the development of the Chapter. In the afternoon, the 35 Chapter Members and the Provincial Secretary traveled from Bogotá to the country house "The Tabor" in Anapoima, where the first session of the Provincial Chapter will take place. 

The Sisters of the Province join in prayer for this important event, in communion with the other structures of the Congregation holding at the same time their own discernment.
