Sainville (France), 10/13/2019, Srs. de Dourdan.- The Association « Les Amis du couvent de Marie Poussepin » (The friends of the convent of Marie Poussepin) organized a celebration at Sainville on October 12, 2019, to celebrate the Silver jubilee of her beatification. The theme, «The missionary expansion of the Congregation» was well coincided with the Extraordinary Month of the Mission inaugurated by Pope Francis.

It was a pleasant time well appreciated by the many people who came from Auneau, Sainville and Dourdan throughout the afternoon. A slide show which was presented three times by our « amis du couvent » and commented on each time by Sr. Maria Escayola, our Superior General, aroused great interest and many questions. In between, there was a visit of Sainville « Sur les traces de Marie Poussepin » (On the footprints of Marie Poussepin) and in the chapel: Adoration, Rosary and Sacrament of Reconciliation.

In the Eucharist celebrated by Father Silouane, parish priest of « Bienheureuse Marie Poussepin » (Blessed Marie Poussepin) parish at Auneau, about 100 persons participated. During the shared meal which followed, we, the Sisters blew off the 25 candles lit on two big cakes. Nothing was missing! Late in the evening, a show of dance, poems and praise: « Mon Odyssée de la Foi » (My Odyssey of Faith) was presented to us by Marie Laure Chalbot, a parishioner from Dourdan. We thank the Lord, Sr. Maria Escayola, «Les amis du couvent de Marie Poussepin » and all the people who contributed to the success of this beautiful day.
