Dominicas de la Presentación - Capítulo General 2019

La Turena, Bucaramanga (Colombia), 08/04/2019, Sr. Marta Díazgranados Santos.- On the occasion of the celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Beatification of Marie Poussepin, whose charism congregates, in the context of the 55th General Chapter, we meet with some representatives of the Lay Dominican of the Presentation. Groups come from Argentina, Chile, Colombia and Venezuela.

They presented their experiences, all very diverse, however they tune in the search for the development of a mission in the Church, according to the spirit of Saint Dominic and Blessed Marie Poussepin. The laity presented some proposals, such as:

• Strengthen ties as a family Presentation
• Have more meetings at the Congregational level to be a renewal force
• Receive leadership training
• Integrate Youth into the mission as Laity
• Learn more about volunteering in the Dominican Order
• Create a network to maintain communication with each other
• Intensify prayer life

At the end of the day there was a cultural activity in which there were poems, songs and dances prepared and performed by the laity.
