La Grande Bretèche (Tours), 07/15/2024, Sr. Gemma Morató i Sendra / Photos: Sr. Conchi García Fernández - www.domipresen.com.- Lauds were prayed in the hall guided by Sister Rosmery Castañeda Montoya who accompanied the entire day of reflection.
With the title “Listening to the Spirit We Allow Ourselves to Be Surprised”, Sister Rosmery placed us in the methodology of synodal discernment: conversation in the Spirit, and through very well-prepared material, she explained, based on her synodal experience, how we should be open to the Holy Spirit and how listening and dialogue should intertwine us. The morning was dedicated to the material we shared and in the afternoon, in groups, we conducted, in the style of the Synod of Synodality, the conversation in the Spirit following its respective steps.
It was truly a day dedicated to reflection, where the importance of community life and the community assembly was seen as vital in the sharing in the chapter hall, and it was noted that this always requires personal conversion and learning to listen to the Spirit in the words of the sisters. The need to share in community, to listen widely to each other, and to learn to let go, if necessary, of one's own in the conversation of the Spirit was emphasized.
Evidently, in a synodal style, listening, silence, and prayer are paramount in a world that no longer knows how to listen.
We share the extensive reflection of Sister Rosmery Castañeda which fostered rich dialogue in groups and among all.
