La Grande Bretèche (Tours), 07/014/2024, Sr. Gemma Morató i Sendra / Photos: Sr. Conchi García Fernández - www.domipresen.com.- July 14, national feast day of the French Republic, a great day, but a laboral day that began equally at 8:00 AM with Morning prayer and then we went directly to the chapter room to continue learning about the current life of the structures.
Today was the turn of the Middle East, Our Lady of the Presentation, Our Lady of the Americas, and the communities dependent on the general government.
The Eucharist, presided over by a regular priest of the Mother House, Father Gilles Meunier, was solemn, with a very well-prepared choir that lifted our spirits and hearts. Father Gilles encouraged us to continue being a testimony in this very needy world and ended by inviting us to be fire on earth.
The celebration was felt with the appetizer and sharing around a delicious and well-hosted meal. In the afternoon, the work continued. Messages of unity to the chapter come from all corners of the world; some arrive at the general secretariat and are announced in the hall and posted for everyone, while others arrive on the web and are posted there. Thank you for everyone's closeness!
The calendar approved by the chapter and subject to change sets our rythme, and we share some notable dates with you:
- July 17-18: Report on the life of the Congregation and Economic Report.
- July 19: Visit to Dourdan and Sainville.
- July 23-25: Retreat.
- July 26: Election of the Superior General.
- July 27: Election of the Councilors.
- August 8: Closing of the Chapter.
