La Grande Bretèche (Tours), 08/07/2024, Sr. Gemma Morató i Sendra and Sr. Conchi García Fernández - www.domipresen.com.- Tomorrow the closure, it seems impossible, but in an organized manner, without great haste and with joy, we have reached the end.
The day begins with the Eucharist and in the meeting room, the hymn "Je bénirai le Seigneur en tout temps" (I Will Bless the Lord Always) by Jean Claude Gianadda sets us up for work. We proceed with the approval one acte and continue with the final version of the chapter text, which is now considered complete.
We have the opportunity to take a guided tour of the archives by Sr. Dominique du Christ, who with her usual professionalism and enthusiasm takes us through the new archives without missing a detail, opening boxes and showing documents that are a treasure of our history.
It's time to thank all those outside the chapter who ensured everything ran smoothly, the house workers, and especially the sisters who took care of the dining room, serving at every meal and providing for us at every break to regain strength. And above all, to the translators for their dedicated and efficient work.
We thank the previous general government for all they have done, the new one for their willingness, and we thank each other for the good atmosphere, for being such sisters. Thank you, Lord.
We still have time to suggest a variety of ideas for the next chapter, both in logistical matters and in formation in chapter procedures.
It is now a matter of synthesizing what we have experienced: the heart is full of gratitude, the mind is boiling with reflections to drive the present and the future, the soul is ready for conversion, and the body, very tired. Tomorrow the solemn closure...
