Meeting time
I hope that...
Sr. Janet Ceja Sáenz, province of Our Lady of the Americas.- I hope that this Chapter will be a providential time of meeting and sharing, after having experienced the richness of the restructuration processes in our structures, either internally or with other structures.
I believe that this Chapter will be a turning point in the life of the Congregation because of the reality we are living, because it will necessarily lead us to revitalize ourselves, to look at ourselves with different eyes and from different angles; diversity is becoming more and more palpable, and it is clear the urgent need to move to the rhythm of the Spirit who urges us to continue to respond to the cries of our brothers and sisters.
The Chapter can be the thermometer that allows us to know in what tune we are in relation to the invitations that the Church, through Pope Francis, makes to us and to the reality that cries out.
Challenges for the Congregation in the face of the reality in which we live in the Church and in the world.
The speed with which the world moves challenges us to be attentive and open in order to know how to interpret the new areopagus. Faced with the reality that surrounds us, it becomes more difficult to bear witness to the presence of Jesus Christ.
Our society, wounded by individualism, exclusion, authoritarianism and power..., becomes a favorable ground for sowing the seeds of synodality, inclusiveness, tolerance, justice, equity, unity and charity..., it is here that we can perhaps find the challenges for the Congregation.
The realities of the structures of the Congregation are diverse because of their history, culture, location, and natural riches; without denying all the negatives that each place may have, we are urgently called to continue to insist on the transformation of our environments.
Today, it is urgent that we turn our gaze to Marie Poussepin and, like her, leave "Dourdan to go in search of the Sainville" that awaits our intervention, bearing in mind that we are called to begin "at home". I believe it is necessary to return to a simple and hard-working life, to close, fraternal and friendly relationships that spread the good fragrance of Jesus Christ.
We are heirs of a great charism, we are supported by the dedicated lives of our Sisters, and we have as an example a great woman who knew how to live charity in the painful circumstances of her time, we can say that we have everything to continue to work for the transformation of the large and small places where we are. May Marie Poussepin accompany us especially in this time of preparation for the Chapter, so that we may arrive there open to receive the light of the Spirit and ready to accept the challenges necessary to ensure the continuity of her work.
