Rome (Italy), 28/02/2022, Sisters of the General Government.- We are living in a very delicate time, the conflict between Ukraine and Russia affects all of us; we witness the failure in the search for peace and dialogue. There is fear, massive displacement of people, separation of families and the neglect of the most needy.
Pope Francis invites us to stand in solidarity with our brothers and sisters of Ukraine and asks us that next Wednesday, March 2, the beginning of Lent, we make a day of prayer and fasting, asking God to grant us the longed-for peace.
It is an opportunity to renew our commitment as Christians and consecrated women. May our works express our desire to make the world a more human and fraternal place.
