Rome (Italy), 10/08/2023, Sr. Victoria Bălteanu.- We were in a very deep and great moment of prayer during the ecumenical vigil on the eve of the Synod. We are all invited in this synodal time to accompany Pope Francis and all the members of the Synod, of every race, color, culture, religion, in the discovery of unity and peace throughout the world. Pope Francis told us: “in the comforting confidence that we have the Holy Spirit as master, he is the protagonist, the interior master of each one and the master of walking together. He creates variety and unity; He is harmony itself. »
We trust in the Holy Spirit, in silence to ask, in silence to pray, in silence to receive and for the Holy Spirit to teach us, to update and maintain our faith ever young and responsible with confidence and faithfulness in God. Each of us is the Church, responsible for building the unity and peace that all creation in the world demands and needs. “Synodality” works with our whole being to achieve this objective together in order to ensure that our neighbor cries with happiness, and no longer with misery, anger, injustice, abuse... etc. In this ecumenical vigil we pray for all the religions of the world and their leaders, for the catechists, for the lay employees, for the religious brothers and sisters, for all the pastors of all churches, that they may be more and better servants and that they follow the example of Jesus. Each one of us, where we are from, or where we are, can be part of this Synod asking the Virgin Mary our protector, who intercedes for the world.
