Bangalore (India), 11/26/2017, Srs. of India.- For the sisters of India, the canonical visit, October 8 to November 16, 2017, to the Province was a close experience of the Congregation, as sisters of the General Government shared with us at various occasions their lived experiences in different structures of the Congregation, renewed in us the Spirit of the family of the Presentation, of fraternity and communion.
Thank you Sr. Maria Escayola Coris, Superior General and sisters of the General Council, your passage through the Province of India was a moment of grace, a gift, a call, an invitation to center our lives in the Lord and His Word. Your passage through our communities has left their footprints which will be a new impulse to renew ourselves in our community and missionary life. Through your visit we are renewed with a new vigor and enthusiasm to live our life of consecration with a renewed energy in the spirit of Marie Poussepin, to continue to be prophetic testimonies and to take the message of salvation to all to whom we are sent.
First Meeting of the Means of Social Communications for Evangelization
During the canonical visit to the Province of India, first meeting of the Means of Social Communications for Evangelization was held at the Provincial House, Bangalore and 31 sisters participated in it. The meeting began by lighting of an Indian lamp and an opening prayer that placed us in the presence of the Almighty. Sr. Philomina Vengachottil, Provincial Superior welcomed all of us to this meeting and Sr. Maria Escayola Coris, Superior General in her address invited us to form ourselves to enter into the digital world, a new place for preaching. The computer world can help us deepen and promote a global, universal and catholic thinking ... starting from the particular and concrete experiences. In the Congregation we must try to create networks and share experiences that allow us to communicate and make known the works of mercy which will make alive the Charism of Marie Poussepin, Social Apostle of Charity.
We value and thank the Commission for Communication in the Congregation for this great opportunity for formation in media and communication, especially Sr. Blanca Aurora Marin Hoyos for her availability. This gathering has motivated us and invited us to place Means of Social communication at the service of formation and Evangelization. We are grateful for the messages of support that we received from the coordinators of Communication in different structures.
