Rome (Italy), 03/16/2020, Sr. Maria Escayola and sisters of the communities of Rome.- Dear Sisters: From Rome, we want to thank you for the messages of concern, closeness and prayers of all the sisters, communities, families and friends worried about the well-being of each sister present in Italy, a country strongly affected by Covid-19.

We are all keeping well; we follow the norms indicated by the government of our country and the Episcopal Conference of Italy. This unprecedented situation invites us to become aware of the relationship that exists between people, between countries... of the deep need for solidarity and responsibility of each one. This crisis can help us to recover the value of family sharing, the richness of community experience, to become aware of our fragility and to be open to change.

We join in prayer with all of you and the Church. We ask the Lord through the intercession of Blessed Marie Poussepin, in this year of grace, for the victims of this pandemic, their families, the people who care for them tirelessly at the risk of their own lives and for all the consequences that this health disaster has and will have on the lives of so many people, especially the poorest.

Together let us continue to pray to the Lord in humility, simplicity and hope; we trust in his mercy and in his infinite love for each of his creatures. May the Lord's blessing and peace be our strength.
