Malibay and Calasiao (Philippines), 11/08/2017, Srs. from the Community of Philippines.- The tree is a symbol and icon of hope, whenever it happens to fade or dry, at the scent of water it brings forth new shoots with new enthusiasm and hope. This was our experience during the canonical visit of Sr. Maria Escayola Coris, Superior General and Sr. Mariamma Paul Ollukaran, General Councilor to our community in the Philippines from October 25 to November 7, 2017.

This visit was an occasion to live the beauty of our encounter, as explained at the Opening prayer of the visit, offering us an opportunity for listening and discerning, to seek together the way to renew of our commitment and help us to grow in hope. These were days of grace to be together all the sisters from the two missionary presences at Malibay and Calasiao in the house in Buenlag-Calasiao, to share life together and to be enriched by the guidance and directives of Sr. Maria Escayola and Sr. Mariamma Paul. After this experience of sharing life, aspirations, concerns, and challenges of our international community life with its strengths as well as of our missionary involvement in the Archdiocese of Ligayen Dagupan and the Archdiocese of Manila, we feel renewed to continue to give life with a ray of hope.

We were happy to celebrate the entrance to Postulancy of Mary Dang Thi Bich Ha and Mary Nguyen Thi Thien Kim, our first vocations from Vietnam on October 30, 2017 in the presence of Sr. Maria Escayola and Sr. Mariamma Paul. We thank them for their availability and presence among us during these days and ask God to shower His blessings upon them. Thank you very much sisters for visiting us and encouraging us to live our Charism in fidelity and trust.
