Peace of justice team, a response to the social and political events in Chile

Putaendo (Chile), 02/28/2022, Sr. Licarayén Torres Muñoz.- During the year 2019, a historic event took place in Chile which, although many did not see it that way, came to change the path our country was following after the return to democracy. The media reported what was happening, especially in the big cities, but also in all corners of our country. Social discontent had "exploded" after years of injustice, lies and corruption, Chile rose up to shout loudly that life could not go on in the same way.

Rumania, 02/10/2022, Sr. Victoria Balteanu.- On February 2, the feast of "Presentation of Jesus in the Temple and the Feast of all Consecrated Life" was celebrated in the Universal Church throughout the world. The invitation of Pope Francis to "walk together" in the diversity of consecrated life, encourages us to value each one’s mission and of course he also invites us to safeguard our own Charism for the richness of the Church. Everything is possible if we are open to the signs of the times.

Colombia, 02/03/2022, Sr. Gloria Patricia Corredor Mendoza, President of CONACED.- Being part of the Ecclesial Assembly for Latin America and the Caribbean Islands, as delegate from the Religious Conference of Colombia (CRC) and responsible as President of the Catholic Schools in Colombia (CONACED), aware of the difficult and uncertain times in which we live when the education and the views of many suffers, with the worst crisis where many gaps, problems and delays are revealed; this meeting was an opportunity to look again at education from the point of view of the Church, that is our common mission of education.

Listening to this cry is not just an expression of pain but also an appeal to responsibility. It offers us the grace to listen to the voices of the poor and to reflect on the precariousness of their lives and respond to it going out of ourselves.
