Lectio Divina: Second Sunday in Advent - Year C

Reus (Spain), Sr. ANA ISABEL PÉREZ, December 5, 2021.- “Prepare the way of the Lord, make his paths straight… and all flesh shall see the salvation of God” (Lk 3, 4-6). During this Advent season in which we begin the second week according to the liturgical calendar, we have the possibility to continue our journey towards to One who will come to visit us.

Lectio Divina: First Sunday of Advent - Year C

Paris (France), SR. MARÍA FABIOLA VELÁSQUEZ MAYA, November 28, 2021.- Luke 21,25 - 28.34-36. I sincerely believe that, both for you and for me, today's Gospel from St. Luke, announcing the end times, just when we are at the beginning of Advent, in a period in which we are preparing for Christmas, is a particularly strange, dramatic, even incomprehensible announcement.

Meeting of the Laity of the Dominicans of the Presentation

Peru, Bolivia and Aconcagua, Marie Poussepin’s Laity, 11/16/2021, Claudio H. Veloso, Missionary of the Presentation, Chile.- We, lay people and sisters of the Province of Los Andes and Vice Province of Aconcagua, gathered together on October 29, Friday evening, to celebrate in gratitude the 325 years of the foundation of our Congregation. Sr. Rosemery Castañeda who works in Panama, shared with us the theme, "Sainville, memorial of the Charism" in a passionate exposition. At the end, we had the opportunity also to dialogue with her.

"Like you, Marie Poussepin"

Barcelona (Spain), 10/31/2021, Sr. Conchi García.- Sharing what we are is one of the great gifts that we can give each other and, of course, that we can offer to God. Recognizing what God has placed in us is a step that brings us closer to the Father's will. The gifts we have received are to put them at the service of others, and that is how we can get a little closer to God who loves us so much. We thank Sister Eleein Paola for sharing with all of us, with the Congregation and with so many people who are sensitive to Marie Poussepin’s gaze.

Eradication of poverty

Girardot, Cundinamarca (Colombia), 10/17/2021, Sr. Olga María Botia Sánchez.- In the context of the celebration of the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty that was declared by UN General Assembly, through its resolution 47/196, ... it can be verified that, despite the efforts and initiatives of different organizations to make the world aware of the need to eradicate poverty and destitution in all countries, "the statistics of the World Bank and the United Nations show that there are more than one billion people living in extreme poverty in the world. Of this large total, 70% are women. Similarly, 7 out of every 10 people who die of hunger in the world are women or girls (UNIFEM, 2010) and according to the World Labor Organization, women currently make up 60% of the working poor".

Happy Feast of Marie Poussepin

Barcelona (Spain), 10/13/2021, Srs. Gemma Morató and Conchi García.- To celebrate this October 14, a very dear feast for all of us, especially in this year in which we celebrate the 325th anniversary of the foundation, we wanted to recover a cartoon: "Marie Poussepin or the rapture for Charity" drawn and written by Sr. Nora Inés Fonnegra (province of Medellin) with the help of Guillermo J. Espinosa for the beatification in 1994. We believe it is a good remembrance and a nice souvenir. Inside we find some drawings that we have often used in the Congregation for various activities. May Marie Poussepin help us and enlighten us in these difficult times, may we know how to be like her.

International Day of Peace

Amman (Jordan), 20/09/2021, Sr. Aliya Hikmat.- The International Day of Peace is celebrated every year on September 21. Established in 1981 by the United Nations, is a day devoted to strengthening the ideals of peace, through observing 24 hours of non-violence and cease-fire. This day should not be confused with the World Day of Peace, January 1, a day of prayer for peace instituted by Pope Paul VI, in 1968, within the Catholic Church.
