Bogotá (Colombia), 09/25/2024, Itinerant Missionary Community.- The new sprouts of this sowing, which began 328 years ago in the fields of Beauce, continued 151 years ago in Colombia, and 130 years ago in the land of Casanare, continue to bloom with the freshness made possible only by the GRACE of the sower who went out to sow seeds...

The desire to meet this sower has fueled the search, and in the mystery of the call-and-response, we give thanks to God because it has been woven into the Apostolic Vicariate of Trinidad. The new missionary presence, which is unfolding step by step, is reflected in the School of Christian and catechetical formation in the parishes of the Vicariate; family ministry to live and share the Gospel of the family, the Good Shepherd catechesis with children from the age of 7, listening ministry accompanying young people, the elderly, and the sick; all with the dream of building small communities within the Comprehensive System of New Evangelization (SINE).

Together, to transform our life and mission, the Province of Bogotá formally launched this new presence, "The Itinerant Missionary Community," on September 14 in San Luis de Palenque, Casanare, with the celebration of the Eucharist presided over by Monsignor Héctor Javier Pizarro Acevedo, who gave a historical account of the mission in Casanare and praised the presence of the Sisters of Charity of the Dominican Presentation. Several sisters were present, including three counselors delegated by Sr. Luz Marina Socha, Provincial Superior. A celebratory and fraternal gathering took place with members of the parish community.

The Bishop of the Vicariate expressed his gratitude for this new way of being present at this time for the Church, the Congregation, and the world, and he strongly called for prayers for vocations.

"…What was sown in good soil… yields a crop: a hundred, or sixty, or thirty times what was sown... Jesus left the house and sat by the lake... a sower went out to sow..." (Cf. Mt 13).
