La Grande Bretèche (Tours-France), Summer of 2016, Srs. Gemma Morató and Conchi García.- We offer the fourth chapter of the series that we are preparing on archives and mission of archivist.

Rome (Italy), January 2017, Sr. Ana Cecilia Villegas.– We, the team for the Means of Communication in the Congregation experienced a time of grace. From January 11 to 24 we met together in the Generalate in Rome to evaluate and analyze the proposals and suggestions from the first meeting of the MSC for evangelization, which was held in Medellin from October 19 to23 for the delegates from Latin America and El Caribe and also to participate in the Congress on the Mission of the Order from January 17 to 21.

Putaendo (Chile), 01/28/2017, Sr. Gabriela Vergara.- We, the sisters of the Delegation of Aconcagua (Chile and Argentina) met together in the Community of Putaendo, Chile, from January 25 to 27 for our first meeting for formation in MSC, which was organized by the team for the Means.

Rome (Italy), January 2017, OP.- On the 7th of November 2015, the Master of the Order, Fr. Bruno Cadoré opened the Jubilee of the 800th Anniversary of the Order at the Basilica of Santa Sabina, Rome. Subsequently, Dominicans all over the world began the yearlong celebration. The theme of the Jubilee was “Sent to preach the gospel”, a recalling and a renewal of the mission of the Order, the mission entrusted to Dominic by the Church.

Rome (Italy), January 2017, OP.- It is from the celebration of the Chapter of Trogir in 2013 that the idea of a Congress for the Mission of the Order was proposed as an important moment of the Jubilee celebration of the 800 years of the confirmation of the Order in 2016. The Congress will be somewhere between the two dates close to the approval and confirmation of the Order "of preachers": according to the two papal bulls complementary to each other in the confirmation of an Order "of preachers": see that of 22 December 1216 with the confirmation of Honorius III and that of 21 January 1217 which formally designates an "Order of Preachers." 

Rome (Italy), 12/22/2016, Sr. Maria Escayola and Srs. of the General Community.- "For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all people" (Titus 2, 11). Merry Christmas!

Bangalore (India), 12/20/2016, Srs. of India.- We all know Christmas is round the corner and well, all we think of is cakes, sweets, decoration and celebration. Have we ever thought about the less fortunate? The Dominican sisters of the Presentation in Bangalore have come together to help the slum children in Indiranagar and the way of giving back to society. There was a Christmas celebration put together for the children and it did bring a smile on everyone’s face.

Barcelona (Spain), 12/14/2016, Sr. Gemma Morató and Sr. Conchi García.- The Canonical visit of the General Government came to an end with the meeting of the two councils. Sr. Maria Escayola, Superior General accompanied by Sisters, Blanca Aurora Marín and Diana Dolorita, General Councillors, shared with all the sisters and got to know the actual life and mission.
